The symbol, motto, element, quality, ruler, colours and gems are indicated for each sign of the zodiac, as well as some notables whose sun signs correspond to the sign of the zodiac described in each chapter.
A sign motto expresses the essence of its nature.
The elements refer to vital energies, while the qualities describe the interaction with other people.
The ruler is either a planet or a luminary that governs a sign of the zodiac, in such a way that imposes its features on the said sign.
Each sign of the zodiac has colours and gems associated to it; these colours and gems specially empathise with such signs. Every person has different significant elements in his/her birth chart and knowing their location by sign is very important. People can harmonise their energies and have an increased feeling of wellbeing by using the colours and gems associated to such signs. More often than not, the person spontaneously feels attracted to those colours and gems in a special way.
It is important to remark that the sun sign influence is strong, but each person has signs of the zodiac specially emphasised in his/her birth chart. This emphasis results from the particular configuration of the planetary points by the time the person was born.
There is no general agreement on both the colour and the gem relationship to the signs of the zodiac. However, the information displayed in this web site is mainly based on “Star Signs“ by Linda Goodman and I have added some things from “Manual of Astrology” by Sepharial. This situation is not only due to these astrologer's reputations, but also to various elements that confirm such associations, which will be indicated in the future.
A short list of notables is included for each sign of the zodiac, considering their sun sign. Each list contains the name of individuals I personally think have contributed in different ways to humankind (they are not just famous people). I have highlighted people from Spanish-speaking countries, who are not usually mentioned in astrology books.
